Open to all 6th grade students. No experience is necessary. Instrument tryouts will take place on April 4th from 5:00-6:30pm in the Pueblo Library. Look for a flyer after Spring Break with more information.

This intermediate level band is open to all 7th and 8th grade students who have played at least one year. Placement in this ensemble is based on auditions during 6th and 7th grade years.

This advanced level ensemble is for 7th and 8th grade musicians that have outstanding skills on their instrument. Students audition during their 6th and 7th grade years. This band performs extremely challenging middle school band literature at several festivals throughout the year.

The Jazz Band is open to all 7th and 8th grade clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone, drum set, piano, and bass guitar players (6th graders may also audition, however it is not a beginning ensemble). Jazz Band members must also be a member of one of the concert ensembles (with the exception of piano and bass guitar). Members will learn jazz styles and performance techniques. Jazz Band meets twice a week before school.

Renowned composer Tyler Grant will be writing a piece that will be dedicated to our Pueblo Band program and will be published! This piece will have its world premiere at our final concert in May of 2027 and alumni will be invited to join us for the performance! In order to meet our goal to fund this amazing opportunity, we are in need of sponsors from the community. Anyone making a donation of at least $25 will have their student and/or family’s name in the conductor’s score! This is an amazing opportunity that will help our Pueblo Band program live on forever!
